Feel Bad Inc.
This whole week was so free for me so I could write lots of junk on this blog. Maybe next week I would have less time, then I cannot write so much le. You know every post of my is a compo, I would own anyone in terms of long-windedness, I'm just retarded, its like I'm writing my whole life here for everyone to see, and I become no life lol, but I don't really care.
My life is always boring, as everyone knows, so merely writing the contents of my life is seriously gonna kill everyone reading this blog. Including myself. I can't be bothered to read this blog, and check for grammatical error, and wrong use of words, because I seriously write too long. Write so much, still fail my English comprehension 12/25, damn diaoed. Maybe I will get A1 for Singlish, lots of grammatical and vocabulary mistake, 4 (or 3) different languages (English, Chinese, Hokkien, Malay [seldom]). If they had that for O level lol. Then every question they ask, if you don't end with la leh or lor, you get penalised. The more broken your English, the higher marks you get. And if name in front is Ah Beng or Ah Lian you get bonus 3 marks. Ok so lame.
Nowadays I got nothing to write, but I can keep dragging until a lot of crap. My day today is yet again, boring. Went out with family, eat breakfast. Go home, do compo, and now use computer. Later have to go ah ma house, so "fun and interesting" place, i'm turning so sarcastic nowadays, thanks to the people and the teachers around me. Seriously there is a haven for stoning la, worse like a jail, so hot there, so sian there, can't even jump down and kill myself, because they lock the windows, and its only like 2 floors, how to die? Go there is a waste of time, the food also not very nice, rice so sticky, I only like my food that my mother makes, the rest sucks!!! Unless seriously its very nice, I'm really a critic when it comes to home-cooked food. I set my mother's (imba) cooking as the bloody standard, and no one ever reaches there XD I'm so crazy, I even said my mum can be a chef if she wanted to. But I eat before a lot of home-cooked food, my mum's the best, maybe because of the love she puts in her food (aww so mushy).
So in a few hours, I would be embarking a trip to the other side of Singapore, around Bukit Gombak, where my ah ma lives. She so old le, all my aunties so old le, even my father so old le. That place all look very old, and I'm like wasting an average of 4 hours everytime I go there. And I go there exactly every 2 weeks, on a Sunday. So every month, I waste 8 hours, every 3 months, I waste a day, and every year, I waste 4 days. So for my whole 15 years, I have wasted a full 60 days there. Totally "awesome". If I lived for 90 years, I would have wasted a year there. Yucks this give me the creeps. Totally feel bad inc.
Alright I will stop whining. I just played DotA with my friend Reuben, finally can connect woot, then it was really fun, but I ks alot. I killed quite a few, but its AI, real player not that dumb (ok theres one hehe... if you know what I mean). I'm quite random, but I its like 2 weeks since I played DotA. This "DotA blog" perspective thing is like falling apart, I'm like just writing bout my life. Maybe DotA only appeals to some after all. But its the longest game I have ever seen. We have had many games, Neopets (about a year), Maplestory (about a year also, but now reviving and dying), Gunbound (about a year again too), and finally Warcraft III TFT, which become a popular game overnight due to the map DotA. You know people think DotA's a game, but its actually just a map of the real game Warcraft III, but nowadays when people say "Warcraft" they mean "DotA", which is not true.
Well we have seen DotA last for over 4 years, or so? Its still very hot in Singapore. Other non-computer stuff, like Pokemon Cards, YugiOh cards, Tamiya Cars and Beyblades are all extinct. Its amazing how I can still remember, for I have remnants at home, like a Tamiya Car at home, and a whoel Beyblade Stadium taking up much precious space in my bedroom. Well I wonder how long will DotA last, actually World Of Warcraft could own it any day, if it was free, and private servers are not appealing, because little people plays them compared to the original server.
DotA can be played in so many ways, on IRC using Lancraft, Hamachi, Garena or the original way Battle Net. (which costs a bomb). Maybe thats why people like to play it, because there are many ways to play with strangers or friends, or friends against strangers. The second thing about DotA is that it is ever-changing. If you ever played DotA, you will know that the editor IceFrog is like spamming changes every few weeks. If you were stagnant and didn't play it for a month or so, you would be so "outdated" in a sense that there are so many tweaks, new items and heroes. Maybe thats why people just can't let it go, the addiction, because they don't want to miss out on changes. However I have read a person's blog, I so agree on the fact that the bad thing about nerfing heroes is that everything is so balanced, and the game is too item-oriented, people who are imba in farming win the game, not those who have good tactics, like the original Warcraft heroes.
Another thing is of course, peer pressure. When friends play together, you can be tempted to join them or keep playing. This is so true, especially when its a good way for friends to keep in touch, or have better relationships. Don't you realise, DotA brings people together, like other games, but it is still more powerful? This is because the team of 5 (maximum) works together to bring victory and success to the team, and you end up having to communicate together efficiently, which is why I like DotA. To keep in touch, especially when everyone is in different classes now. We have seen many people, especially in my former class 2I, play DotA because of peer pressure. Its a powerful thing indeed.
Wonder how long the trend would last? I guess there lies the beauty of this game...
Once again, my blog is talking about random shit. Hope you enjoyed my post, have to stop now because I'm going to "jail" LOL. This post is dedicated to DotA because I have not written about it in a long time, hope DotA players may enjoy, and non-DotA players can know more about it. Well if you don't like the game, I hope you can at least tahan just one post. I wouldn't have the chance to write about it again.
